MAPI Problem with Winfax

Everytime I attempt to link my Outlook Contact list with Winfax Pro in order
to use that list for fax numbers, I get an error message about MAPI failed.

Contacted Winfax and after sending me a newer version CD and installling and
still not working they tell me that MAPI is broken in Outlook and I need to
uninstall Outlook and re-install. There must certainly be a way to repair
MAPI in Outlook without removing the entire program.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hi Diane,

I am using Outlook 2002. I tried to run fixmapi.exe and it does not OPEN
when I select it. Any other help would certainly be appreicated thanks you
in advance for your help.

Did you try fixmapi.exe? Use windows search to locate it.

Also - depending on your version of Outlook, integration is broken between
it an WinFax.
