Map or hierarchy of components and other related files

Hi,

I am wondering whether there exists such a map of some sort showing
all of the 10,000 XPE components, their dependeancies and other files
in a hierarchical format.

This would be very handy if you keep getting a component that you just
do not want in your image but somehow creeping in even when you keep
deleting them from the component list.

For example I keep getting several 'Printing' related components and
the image I am creating will never need to support a printer. I know
this is happening because I've seleted another component which I do
need but also calls in others that I don't.

I hope some one can head me in the right direction to find a way of
searching through this forrest of components and their files.

Best Regards

It has been asked for for years, but there are ways to figure out the
dependencies:

1. Use the output from AutoResolve in Target Designer to track down
dependencies.
2. XPECMD has some component tracking features.
3. My Component HUnter tool helps track down dependencies and denpendors -

PJ, I'd highly recommend DependencyWalker (http://
www.dependencywalker.com/) to track the hierarchy of the files related
to the components that keep "growing back."

Inside joke, I got so frustrated with these kinds of issues that I
started naming my images by species of lizard. It's like pulling a
lizard's tail off... it just grows back! BTW, my latest image got so
big and so full of issues I named it GODZILLA! Go ahead, point and
laugh. I can take it...
