Not necessarily "map this as a drive" but you can map this as a Network
place.
Open Explorer, select "My Network Places", right click and select "Map
network drive"
Select the text "Sign up for network storage ...", next screen select "Other
....".
Then put in ftp://kiss.dvd.players.ip.address, then follow the username info
sections.

Once completed you'll have a network place to your DVD player.

Nope doest work properly I have done this and windows cant do ftp properly.

I need a application that maps the drive. All the ones I have seen are
rubbish, there must be a unix/window programme that allows you to do
this???????

What doesn't work properly, setting it up or using it?
It works fine when I connect to ftp.microsoft.com as one example.
Does your Firewall handle FTP properly?

You cant copy files to and from it correctly, windows XP is renown for poor
FTP support, especially when connecting to a UNIX ftp server.
