I have IE 6.0 with 128-bit cypher strength and the SP1
update plus a few others (6 Q-series updates). For some
reason, and only with some web sites, the browser starts
complaining that the "Warning: page has expired" each
time I use the back button.

I could not find any relevant help on Microsoft support
site since the lone relevent KB article I found tells me
the SP1 update will fix it. Clearly it did not or else
one of the Q-series updates reintroduced it.

Any one else have a solution or experience the same
problem?

Thanks,

Lonnie

That's normal behavior for the way some web pages are programmed. Web
page programmers have control over how long the page is valid. I don't
recall that IE has a switch to control whether you see that warning
message.

As a security measure many sites will not let you go "Back" to pages such as
a bank page where you may have personal details.

This prevents a user who follows you onto the PC from accessing your details
by simply going back/back/back etc if you have accidentally left a window
open.

IS this something that sounds like it might be the problem? If so there's
not a lot you would want to do about it.
