Many problems after upgrading from Windows 2000

Hi. I installed Windows XP Professional on Windows 2000.
After I completed the installation, I started having many problems with my computer.
Some examples:

- I installed Microsoft Office XP Small Business. After I finished the installation and rebooted the machine, it froze. I had to restore the last good configuration. And this problem happens with many other programs that supposedly work under XP.
- I can not import Outlook Express Address Books/Old messages and folders.
- Yahoo Messenger does not open (I got the latest version). It starts loading and crashes.

I already downloaded the fixes from the Microsoft website, but nothing. The problem continues and I don't know what to do. I thought about formatting the hard-drive, but I would like to try to restore my old emails first.

Any suggestions?

Andy, if that wasnt Win2K Pro then that's why your having problems. Look
for your old e-mails in Document and
Settings>Your Name>Local Settings>Application Data>Identities>Bunch of
letters and #>Microsoft>OE. Save
them if you can and format and start over.
