RCE Defiant

Anyone know how to do this. Don't know why but when I click change key in
system properties it does nothing!

RCE--

And you were changing the PK on Vista (Torrent Species) to do what exactly?
I'm not judging just curious as to what you wanted to accomplish.

(Torrent Species) and not judging in the same post, me thinks you were
judging.

I have had the same problem as the thread starter, in that having installed
Vista without a key (default 30 day key), I then wanted to allocate my key
to it. The change product key link in the relevant place was dead for me and
I took a little while to find the .exe in the system32 folder in order to
enter my product key.

I can't speak for RCE Defiant, but I was trying to accomplish activation,
perhaps RCE was too.

I upgraded an install of our VLK XP to Vista but the KMS key we got for
Vista isn't the same as our XP key so I needed to change to the KMS key to
activate. Problem was though that the change product key link doesn't work
right so I needed the vbs stuff for that.

Indeed, that other dudes jaded man!

Call me simple but I'd go straight to the Volume Licensing vendor and get
them to provide you with the key or whatever you paid for to solve that
problem. You paid someone for the Volume Licensing; why not make them
deliver what you paid for?

Or did it come from a company that you're not working with now?

"Indeed, that other dudes jaded man!"

Every kid being left behind in Bush's Amerika.

And how did changing the PK work as to activation success?

CH

You cannot use the Change Product Key button unless a product key has
already been entered. To enter the initial product key, click Activate.

I did get the key off them and yes I do work for them still.

That didn't work either.

You or someone paid someone for a license; it didn't work; it was an XP key
and you want it to work on Vista or you had a problem with a license you
paid for and didn't ask the seller to fix it because...

What is your problem? I gave clear explanation in this thread of my issue
and the fix for it. Merry Christmas, I hope the new year brings you
everything you hope and aspire for.
