Manual URL Entry Problem

Brad

I'm running Win 2k and IE 6 with the latest service packs (11/03 and 10/03)
from Microsoft. I've got a problem that, whenever I manually type a URL
into the address bar, I get redirected to http://vrape.hardloved.com, which
I assume is some porno search engine. It doesn't matter if the web page I'm
looking for is active or not (Yahoo, Microsoft, and NFL.com all take me
there),
I still get redirected to this site (which, by the way, isn't active
itself). I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the security
patches, going back to IE 5.5 and then downloading a new copy of IE 6. I'm
also running McAfee Virus Scan with updated filters as of 12/8/03. I'm at a
loss. Any ideas on what might work? In looking over some of the posts, I'm
going to try running CWShredder and Ad-aware software to see if that does
anything. In the meantime, any thoughts out there would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.

You may have "picked up" some BHO or the other (browser
helper object) Adware, will defiantely be helpfull in
removing it.
