Got the above message even though I could connect via
Firefox and IE. Even posted a message here about the
problem, so I could connect, but MSAS could not. I had
recently read that this happens after installing
counterspy, which I had done. The following fix might
work if you get the same error message even if you did
not recently install counterspy:
Control Panel, add remove, click on MSAS, click on
CHANGE, this will lead you to their maintenace and
continue to the finish. It resolved my problem
immediately. I did not have to uninstall then reinstall
MSAS
