I found a manual for my HP 5 printer at
http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/20206/Hp_Laserjet 5 M.html.
However it comes in two parts/files named HPLJ-5-5M-Manual.zip.001 and
HPLJ-5-5M-Manual.zip.002. How do I combine them or extract the manual?

thanks
LJB
Do a binary copy under DOS to produce the new combined ZIP file.
The following command will do it.--

C:\copy/b HPLJ-5-5M-Manual.zip.001 + HPLJ-5-5M-Manual.zip.002
HPLJ-5-5M-Manual zip

(That's all on one line, assuming your C-drive.)

Then just use Winzip or another archiving program to expand it in the
usual way.

I get the following error when I use WinZip 8.1 on the combined file.
WinZip seems to be able to read the name of the pdf file contained in
the combined file. Could it be some other format?

Extracting to "C:\Document...
Use Path: no Overlay Files: yes
Extracting HPLJ-5-5M-Manual.pdf
