Manipulating jpg's in Excel

Column 1 has jpg's of paintings. The rest of the columns have text data
related to the price, provenance, year painted, etc. about the painting
in column 1.

The printed report needs to be shown in order of the year painted (a
sort on that column). However, the jpg's are not "fixed" to their
respective columns. They seem to behave like a bunch of unattached items
so after a sort, I have to go back and resize Column 1 to once again fit
the painting.

Is there any way to embed these jpg's so that they behave the same way
all the other text info in the other cells behave?

TIA.

Images can only float on top of cells and cannot be actually inserted into a
cell.

Worksround................

If the images are sized to fit within the confines of a cell they will sort
with the cell.

Makes for pretty crappy looking images unless cells are large enough.

Perhaps you could emply the technique used by Bernie Dietrick in his sample
workbook.

See Debra Dalgleish's site for a sample workbook download.

Very slick. I think every serious user of Excel should have a link to
that site. I'm certain I'll get a lot of use out of that.

Thank you.
