Manipulate PowerPoint Shapes

Hello,

I have a set of slide with a simple table of contents to the left of
each slide. Each topic in the table of contents is hyperlinked to the
appropriate slide. Before each hyperlink there is a rectangle. I
want to have each rectangle filled with a red Webdings letter "A"
after the appropriate slide is viewed. Can this be done?
I would want this information saved, which I know can be done in VBA.
Any ideas?

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
without resorting to VBA or add-ins.

PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality (without having to resort to
