Hello,

It would appear that a mandatory profile remains on the machine after you
logout....and so I assume that if the network was disconnected at that
point...you could use the copy on your machine....

Now when you reboot.....it is lost.

Is there anyway for you to keep the copy of your profile locally after a
reboot?

so in a situation where you bootup in the morning and the server is down it
could use your profile from yesterday?

Any help would be appeciated.

Thanks,

Dan

I don't really know the answer since I have not used mandatory profiles and
you may also want to post in a setup_deployment newsgroup but it may help to
review the Group Policy options for user profiles under computer
configuration/administrative templates/system/user profiles. Each setting
has a good description of what it will do. You can access local Group Policy
via gpedit.msc though in a domain it usually works best to configure the GPO
at domain/OU level.

thanks Steven...I'll look into it a bit further
