First, is it possible to switch between profiles without having to close the
app. and re-launch?

Second, it seems that when I receive and delete emails in one profile it is
also taking place in another profile. It appears that the two profiles are
sharing inboxes and folders??

Any help is appreciated

1) No.

2) Not quite. If 2 profiles use the same Exchange account or .pst file, that data will be visible in either profile, because they're looking at the same information store.

How do I solve the problem of the 2 profiles being apparently set up with the
same Exchange account or .pst file?

A good place to start might be to explain why you consider that to be a problem? Or why you don't just delete the profile you're not using?

The sharing of folders really isn't an issue but the reason I set up two
profiles was to keep the incoming email messages separate for each profile.

It also appears that when a "signature" is created on one profile it is
included on all "new" email messages created under both profiles?

Another change from Outlook Express is that when you attach pic's to a
message, you must attach one at a time as opposed to holding the Ctrl key and
selecting multiple pics at a time?

Mail messages where? In a .pst file? Use different files for each profile. In an Exchange mailbox? Each profile will show the same data if they look at the same mailbox.

Correct. Outlook 2003 has is account-specific signatures.

You may see different behavior depending on whether Word is the email editor.
