Malware on computer, how do I get rid of it?

Google I.T. help sent me here. When I start up internet, I get a message
saying I possably have a new version of trojan virus wanting me to buy
spyware. Also when I do a google search it brings up porn in the list and
wants me to buy same spyware. I have run norton 360 3 times but it won't go
away. Also run Vista premium system.
 
Try SuperAntiSpyware free version at superantispyware.com
Install, update definitions. You might want to change Preferences->Scanning
Control and check box to close browsers and terminate memory threats before
quarantining. Run a full scan. If SuperAntiSpyware is unable to remove some
malware, try scan in safe mode. Good luck. :)
 
There are some self-help removal sites for scamware like that, but you
haven't mentioned what the name of the anti-spyware they're trying to foist
on you is. So about all I can do is give you some general trustworthy
links. It doesn't really matter what it claims the Trojan to be, it's
probably nonsense.

It might also be a good idea to finish that up with a visit to a HijackThis
cleaning forum even if you seem clean, as some of these scamware programs
can be quite deceptive and you may not be up to date with Microsoft
updates, Java, and Flash. These kinds of infections do take advantage of
those sort of vulnerabilities:

Porn and spyware/malaware go `hand in glove. ` If you have Premium have you
considered rebooting into safe mode and running a scan with WD? Alternatively
if, posssible, download and install SASW or AVG - update the defs first then
run in safe mode and reboot - let us know how it works out.

Can you follow the spyware submission instructions in the help to make sure
WD have your samples if you still have them?

Usually, flat out malware like this is in your AV signatures.

Don`t forget

You can get direct help from Microsoft for issues with virus infections or
issues related to security patches.

I'd recommend calling 1-866-pcsafety if you are in the U.S. or Canada.

Elsewhere, call your local Microsoft subsidiary, or the number for paid
support in your locale--and ask for the free help with virus or
security-patch related issues.

This help extends to spyware removal as well.

If you /clearly/ state that a specific update or virus has caused problems
and don't
ask any other questions, you /should/ receive No Charge support for the issue.

Question: Aviation orientated. What is the definition of the Standard
Atmosphere? No Googling allowed - reference books only. l`ll take into
consideration such things as Global Warming etc. <smile>

You have to use the US Syandard Atmosphere Values.
Feet.- Pressure (in. of mercury).- Temperature

Loking my charts and reference, I think you are looking for this:

Atmospheric conditions are standard when sea level pressure and temperature
are 29.92 inches of mercury and 15 C. with a temperature lapse rate (rate if
change with increasing altitus) of 2º per 1000 feet.

<smile> You are right. In US you use `inches` of mercury to define the
atmospheric pressure, reduced to Mean Sea Level (MSL) . In UK `millibars`Or
hectopascals. For temp. We use degrees C, you use degrees F.

FYI

In my Intrument Flying Hanbook, the Temp is in (degrees Centigrade), maybe
this is the standard, and the Farengeith is of the past.

My Fly Computer always refer to Centigrade. For a true airspeed (TAS) for
the solutions
you use º C.

Yes. <smile> it is in Europe anyways. Whenever we need to convert anything
which may involve a temperature input we use degrees C. Now if you are
referreing to RAS v TAS v GS. We are getting very interesting. Do, or have
you flown before?

Above Mean Sea Level) Thus we have QNH:

QNH is only useful within the locale of the airport you are flying into, so
enter the standard setting of 1013.2mb which is the setting all altimeters
are calibrated to, to give us our height when we pass thru the transition
level. That is the point at which we convert from altitudes to Flight Levels
when we are climbing or vice versa descending. eg 35000 ft would equate to FL
350 and is based on the `standard atmosphere` or setting of 1013.2

Provided everyone is doing the same thing. FL290 and below we can seperate
by 1000 feet and above that it becomes necessary to increase that to 2000FT'

So, if we introduce the `Semi Circular` rule we can have some sort of
organisation when allocating available `levels` in the en route phase of a
flight. These are as follows.

Eastbound flights get ODDS: FLs 90,110,130,150, and so on ........

Westbound Flights get EVENS: FLs 100, 120, 140, 160, and so on ......

There are many exceptions but more about that later.
