Malicious virus thread

My system restore does not seem to work. I tried and
norton antivirus pops up and warns of a malicious virus
thread. File: rstrui.exe. I wanted to do a restore cause
on web site they suggested to do it to try to help with
some spyware. How do I get rid of this file or virus. Ran
some virus programs and they don't seem to pick it up. Any
help would be appreciated. Thank You!!

rstrui.exe is your system restore application, perhaps
their is a virus in that restore checkpoint and norton is
finding it? Don't know for sure I've never heard this one
before.
If you are trying to rid your system of spyware these
tools are much better than a restore and yes use all of
them.
