A business acquaintance rents space on XDrive because he
transfers large wave files we use in our entertainment
industry. He sent me XDrive software so I could download
some files from his server space. Now, I cannot get rid
of it ! attempting to manually remove it from the
directory indicates that a system crash will result.
Beware of XDrive!!!!

This is not malicious intent on the part of Xdrive. Please be sure to
follow these instructions as they are laid out. It is possible to
damage your system by altering the registry file. Please be sure to
follow the instructions on creating a back up of your registry file in
case it is necessary to restore this file.

1) Start your computer, once at your desktop, click on start > Run.
2) Type in at the run command "regedit" (no quotes).
3) Make a back up copy of the registry just in case. Do this by
clicking on File>Export> and then name it Registrybackup and save it
somewhere where you remember.
4) Click on Edit at the file menu and then go to Find, or press Ctrl
+ F. Either will bring the Find menu.
5) Type in xdnp32.dll at the find window and click find. Once it
finds the key with this line in it, select it (only this line) and
then hit the
delete button on your keyboard.
6) If it asks you to save, go ahead and say yes. Then restart your
computer. The message should now be gone.
