malicious cookie

my ie6 has become unuseable as evey 4 minutes when online
I receive a cookie from "countere.com", and "s_redirect"
which loads an unwanted search engine and favorites file.

I have used the edit facility in ie6 it failed to stop it

I have bought spykiller software it failed to stop it

I have bought cookie control software from kookaburra it
failed to stop it

I would appreciate any suggestions
 
remove the spyware first for free
ad-aware lavasoftusa.com
spybot safer-networking.org
update both before scan

and in ie tools,options,advanced,uncheck both'enable
install on demand,apply.

and use another safer browser like firefox from mozilla.org
 
run as many spyware programs as you can. One will find
this the others don't. Try Spybot, Ad-Aware and
Bulletproof.

its worth a shot man....

homepage is set to countere.com then redirects to realsearcher.com or
something similar.. all porn based / your favorites are mostly porn
links and some sadistic smiley face links about incest .. the comp
that i worked on had netzero first uninstalled netzero then i turned
off everything in msconfig: startup and turned off system restore/
then went into safe mode/ i went through the registry checking all the
countere and redirects/ deleted all of them/ then deleted favorites/
then ran hijack this/ something odd popped up that tried to hide as a
netzero ID (forget the actual listing of the exe.) then it never came
up again. it is fairly new.. i dont know if it is automatically hiding
as a program in any isp or what but what i did worked for me.
