Malformed FAVORITES Icons

I have the latest version of IE, Version 6.blahblah.

I am thoroughy pissed that MSIE hijacks the unique icons
of web sites that I add to my FAVORITES list, and
replaces the icons with its own plain vanilla icon.

MS Help DOES NOT provide assistance in overriding this
issue.

I would appreciate any info that will enable me to use my
web sites own unique icons instead of surrenduring to the
MS Empire.

Hi,

These are generally known as favicons.ico (Favorite Icons) and they normally
will only last until your Internet Explorer Temp files are cleared.

This program will allow you to save the favicons.ico (Favorite Icons)
permanently in a different folder and re-associate your favorites with the
stored icons.
