Hi

I just bought a second-hand computer from someone, with Vista Ultimate
already installed. However, after a few weeks of usage, I discovered that it
has not been activated and appears to be working under some version of the
timelocker crack. I checked the key that was provided to me with the computer
and I think it's one coming from the ASUS OEM Vista program.

However, a quick check of the product ID (89580-014-0000025-71495) tells me
that this version comes from the RETAIL channel.

My question... Is it still possible for me to make this version of Vista
genuine without having to reinstall everything (I already spent much time
setting it up) using my Technet Plus licenses (yes, I'm an IT
consultant/developper and this new computer was intended to evaluate several
software) ?

Thanks

Why not download the TechNet ISO and use the TechNet license as it is for
evaluation purposes?

Thanks, that's what I intend to do, but my question is, will I have to
reinstall Vista using the Technet ISO or can I simply apply the license key
to my current installation?

Thanks

Interesting...at the very least, you will need to remove the timer
activation crack--and on doing that, will Windows function so you can change
the key? I don't know

Use the System applet within the Control Panel, under the Windows activation
section, click the Change product key link.

That will allow you to enter a new product key and properly activate
it---perhaps

Let us know if that works
