Making table stay in a fixed position

I've created a simple table consisting of 2 columns x 6 evenly spaced rows.
Once the table is sized, equally spaced, and ready for text, no matter what
I do with the text, I don't want the table outlines to change size. If the
text is too large for the cell, I'll reduce it, but I want the cells to all
stay fixed. How do I do this? I'll appreciate any responses. Thank you!

These instructions apply to Word 2002 and 2003: Click somewhere in the
table, click on Table | Select | Table, click on Table | Table
Properties | Table tab | Options | uncheck the "Automatically resize to
fit contents" box | OK | Row tab | check the "Specify height" box |
specify a row height | Row height is: Exactly | OK.
