making sure that autochk does work...

I would like to make sure that when my XPe system hasn't been shutdown
properly, diskchk is run properly on every partition during the next
boot. I believe that I have set the registry keys properly, and that all
the components needed are included. I would simply need to verify that
this is working.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Yes. Assuming you want to test drive C:, do the following from a cmd
prompt:

fsutil dirty set C:

then reboot. Chkdsk should run. You will see this as long as your boot.ini
does not contain /noguiboot.
