I have configued my Internet Explorer and MaCafee but
both talk about protecting agains INCOMING viruses. How
do I make sure that I am not sending any virus just duing
my regular business communications? Thanks for your
suggestings.

Many A/V programs allow scanning of outgoing mail as well as incoming mail.
Check your A/V program's documentation on how to enable it or get an A/V
program that allows it. The freeware AVG from Grisoft is one example.
