Making Subfolders Visible

Hi all,

I have outlook 2003. I have set up a rule to move a message when received
from a particular person to a sub folder. When the rule runs the message
gets moved to the sub folder and if the sub folder isn't visible it becomes
visible, indicating that there is a new message (unread). This works fine
when I use a PST file, however, when using an
exchange mailbox, the message gets moved, but the folder doesn't show
itsself making it impossible to know if a new message has arrived.

Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this situation

Many thanks in advance

Tim

is the rule client or server side? Are you using cache mode and if so, does
it act the same way with cache mode disabled?

It sounds like the rule is server side and since you are using cache mode,
it's not treated as a new message.

Many thank for this info. How do I:

1. Turn off the cache
2. Force a rule to be client side.

Thanks in advance

Tim
