making stationeries

Hello,
How are you(all)?
I know how to make a stationery.My problem is that I am
making them from pitures for backgrounds.What I am
getting are multiple replications of the same piture,I
believe to take up the space.What I want is the piture as
template-so I would like to know how to size and
reposition grapics if this is posible.I hope that I am
clear enough.
