I have an original document. I have a version of that document that
has been marked up in the document. I do a side by side view of the
two documents. As I scroll through, the two documents do not line up.
For example, even though the first 10 pages of the two documents are
identical, they do not scroll through at the same rate.

Is there any way to use this side by side view and be able to see the
original and change side-by-side.

Even just being able to see page 41 of both documents would work.

If this is Word 2003 or above and you're using Compare Side by Side With, do
you have synchronous scrolling enabled?

How would i check?

And the zoom is the same on both.

Well, there's a little floating toolbar where you can turn synchronous
scrolling on or off. It's on by default, however.
