Hi

I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how I
can get my object to split in two and fly off the page
(exiting from the top right hand corner).

Many thanks

You forgot to include what version of PowerPoint you are using. What kind
of object is it - - raster image, vector image, text, etc.?

Hello Sonia

I see that many people are asking similar questions to this one. I can
successfully achieve the adding of an AVI file BUT, I cannot in the sessions
of my slides have the AVI file play automatically. It always requires a
mouse click to run...?
I am trying to setup a rolling demo and include an AVI file I have create
with Camtasia.
Plays fine when I click on it but is not what I am trying to achieve.
When I insert the AVI it asks if I wish to auto play and I click yes but
still no go? I have also tried testing the Custom Animation settings but
still not happening.

Can anybody suggest some tips or perhaps a good web resource that may
explain the auto play of an AVI?

Many thanks to all
Regards
Sean

Tried your suggestions here.

Here are some things you can try, one at a time, to see whether they correct
or change the problem. They all need to be done anyway, so it won't be a
waste of time.

1. Update your video driver. Go to the website of the manufacturer and
look for a current version of the driver for your version of Windows.
2. Make sure you have DirectX version 9 installed. Go to Start > Run, type
DXDIAG, click OK. The version no. you have installed will be displayed. If
it isn't V.9, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en and get it.
3. Read http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm and
verify that your MCI settings match the lists provided in the third section.
4. Finally, come back here and let us know if none of the above helps.

I see that Rene has already responded to your post with good advice.
Camtasia uses a proprietary codec, which may be the cause of your problem.
See if you can use Camtasia Producer to convert the AVI using the Cinepak
codec.
