Hi! I'm hoping someone can tell me why I cannot get my
Nikon6 download to work. Installation seems to have gone
well, but when I click on the program icon (on my desktop)
to open it, the frame of the window briefly flashes up
(empty) and then the screen returns to the desktop. I can
open the program with a right click and then selecting "run
as". However, I can only view my pictures in "slide show"
mode. When I double click on a thumbnail to open it, the
correct editing window comes up, but it is empty. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled this download three times, with
the same problem each time. Nikon 6 worked fine with my
old Windows ME, but not with XP. (Seems I just traded old
problems for new ones with this upgrade!!) Can anybody
enlighten me? Many thanks!

Nikon View does work with Windows XP. If you have a high speed connection it
is worth going to the Nikon site to down load the latest version 6.01. The
complete version is about 36 MB. The down load and installation instructions
Found via the FAQs are comprehensive. It is important to uninstall all
versions of Nikon View before proceeding.

Thanks Richard - I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times, with the same problem (window flashing up empty for a second) and now have a new response - before the Nikon window flashes up, the desktop flips to a larger size! It returns to its normal size after the window goes away. Maybe my problem is with XP, not Nikon.----- Richard wrote: ----
