Hi,

My Documents, My Computer and Control Panel can be made to display as
a menu from the Start menu. Is there any way to make My Network Places
display as a menu from the Start Menu? The Advanced tab in the
Customize Start menu dialog does not offer this option for My Network
Places.

Thanks

My Network Places is available as an option if using the XP style start
menu. On the Advanced page, it's a single line item between My Music and My
Pictures.

Another method to get it onto the start menu: Use Display> Desktop>
Customize Desktop to add the "My Network Place" icon to the desktop. Then
drag the icon to the start button and drop it to add it to the Start Menu.

Hi Blake,

The string value (type) - "group" is not listed for Net Places. My Comp,
etc has Hide, Menu and Open subkeys. You could try creating it just the
same for Net Places.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Explorer\StartMenu\StartPanel\MyComp

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Explorer\StartMenu\StartPanel\ShowNetPlaces
