Making MPEG1 files

I'm working on a PPT project that will have video interviews. The video
is being shot on MiniDV and will need to be converted to MPEG1 for
PowerPoint. Does anyone know of software to convert QuicktimeDV
files to MPEG1?

Check out apples Quicktime Pro. It has a very good Quicktime to MPEG
conversion option - but you'll need to verify it works with Quicktime DV
files.
