Hi

Here's the problem......

Using Media Player 10 I have ripped a number of CDs into 'My Library' in MP3 format. Is it possible to create a CD or preferably a DVD still in MP3 format with the contents of 'My Library'?

If so...how please??

Keep it simple and step by step please.

Very simple, if you wish to retain them in the MP3 format just drag and drop them into your burner software and burn away.

If you right click on a single file or multiple files use send to the burner software and you are done.

Thanks for the replies guys and yes we have 'Nero' - at a more earthly hour I will try and report back. Actually, it's for Wayne and not me - he's working on his 'library'.

Take care and thanks again!

Hi

Unfortunately it's not working as per Quad and Chris P's suggestions. At the moment, there are 12 albums in one folder all in MP3 format. When Wayne right clicks on the folder - send to burn list - all tracks appear in burn list. He clicks the 'burn' button which briefly displays a 'no entry' sign and almost immediately returns to 'burn' - nothing happens!!!!!

What is being done wrong?

Flops - is there a way to do this in Nero????? (As per your post above).

What is difficult to understand is .....if exactly the same is done from a CD to MP3 all tracks appear and burn correctly but not from the library.

If Nero is an option I am gonna need step by step please.

Many thanks again.

Just go into Nero, or Nero Express, Select "Data" CD and drag the folders over

Ensure the size is not more than 700Mb or 4.7Gb (CD or DVD) and click burn... ensuring have the correct drive selected. It should work. If it doesn't, i'm all outta ideas!

Ok guys, will try later and see what happens.

I have a sneaky feeling that it might be something to do with the MP3 player which is a bit 'odd' to say the least and is like no other that I have ever come across. Long story but my mum (who knows zero about anything technical) bought it for me for my birthday and nothing works in the way that the instructions say - in fact I don't even think that it's the right set of instructions for the player. Plus the player is a make I have never heard of and there aren't any instructions on the net either. Ssshhhh....don't tell anyone but I think it's a real cheapie that probably needs replacing asap!!!!!!!!

I will report back on further attempts via Nero.

Thanks again!!

If you burn as data it dosent matter what type of files they are... it will just burn them onto CD...

Did you copy the files from the MP3 player to the HDD, and then trying to burn from the HDD to CD?

Chris she already stated that she used Media Player to rip the cd's so MP3 player has nothing to do with it. ;)

Gabs, what I stated in my post earlier is what you need to do to get the job done, if your MP3 player is not upto the task than it is another story.:o

Will be attenpting another try later, probably tomorrow and Wayne and the youngest are off to football in Sheffield tonight and won't be back until late tonight.

I will keep you posted but in the meantime, thank you for your suggestions which are very much appreciated.

Love
