making Backup CD of Hard drivw w/ Windows 2000

How can I make a back up cd of my hard drive with Windows
2000. I have an internal CDR on Drive "E" That isn't
recognized during the Back up process.

What do I need to do to have Windows 2000 recognize
Drive"E"?

If you have got enough room on your hard drive to do so, you could backup to
a file then burn it to a CD using your usual burning software.

Aside from the answers about the CD-RW you need to say what is your
purpose. Backing up Data, the System State, of the entire installation
as an Disk Image for future restoration.
