Hi,
Okay, I'll try to explain this the best I can, but I've
never been very good at explaining things like this.
I've currently got my harddrives set up in 3 partitions;
a 10gb partition for XP/drivers/various other programs,
an 80gb striped partition for applications/games, and a
50gb partition for data such as audio, video, documents,
and downloads. This is the way I like having it set up,
and it's working very well so far, with the exception of
one thing.
I'd like to have 2 folders on my desktop; one called My
Documents, and one called Downloads. I want them both to
link to their respective folders on my E:\ drive (Data).
With the My Documents folder, it's simple enough, all I
had to do was change the path to the target My Documents
folder in the desktop link's properties. However, with
Downloads, I could not find a way to duplicate this.
I tried using a regular shortcut to link to it, which
works somewhat, but it does not appear in dropdown drive
lists such as the ones found in Open/Save As dialogs,
where I really need it.
Does anyone know how (or if) this could be accomplished?
Thanks,
Matt
