making a collage

Want to make a collage with a bunch of digital pics. anyone know of
a program that is freeware that will help with this. Thanks

Would depend on the type and size of collage this person wants to create.
I used the gimp to make one for one of my home pages and it took
minutes, totaled about 15 pics, saved as a picture format (jpg, png
etc). Didn't have to save pics to any folders because the end result is
one image.
