Can anyone recommend a program for creating a slideshow of images
(with transition effects and possible text descriptions) to a CD
and then playing the slideshow on any computer....Win XP only?
I've done a google search and didn't turn up much. The freeware
programs I've looked at are complicated to use, and the person who
wants this program is a computer novice.

Thanks!

For my slideshows, which are photos/video of my family, I use ProShow Gold.
It's expensive, but I've tried a lot of them and I find it's the best one out
there. However Windows Movie Maker is as close to ProShow as I've seen...

Paul,

OK, I downloaded Photostory 3. However, I see that it requires Windows Media
Play 10. I have version 8 on my XP system. Would this be a problem? I had
heard there were come compatibility issues with WMP 10.
