This is another good idea....where are you digging these up from????, what I
mean is, did you go searching for this?

I saw the steadycam idea several months ago, and
just re-discovered the bookmark (I had it filed under
my "geek" folder in stead of the "DV" folder). The
teleprompter popped up as a story yesterday on
slashdot.org, which I read every day or two.

I seem to recall from my electronics days that a
CRT can be easily configured to reverse the image...
something to do with the deflection yoke, I think.
So, a cheap, small CRT (B&W TV from a pawn shop?)
might be another answer... assuming you have a
video-out on your laptop.

Ah! a "Geek" folder :) I have one but somehow it never retains the
links....mine is called the Recycle Bin :))

The TelePrompter.....I don't know enough about electronics, I do not remember
much of what I once learned either....but :) Doesn't the example (and yours)
show the true cost of a Teleprompter! Its a very good reminder of how much over
the top we all pay in the Mall

Yeah. For some reason, I knew I'd want to re-visit
the cheapo steadycam at some point.

The yoke thing may be a polarity thing (either that,
or I'm just channeling Geordi LaForge again). Anyway,
I bet between Photoshop & Premiere Pro, I can figure
out a way to do it and make it work with the laptop.
Make a cheese-quality WMV of "reverse credits," and
Bob's yer uncle.
