I use outlook 2003 and have windows mobile 3 on a smartphone. I find that the
task list isn't very useful on either. I've started to make "appointments"
for tasks and color them so that I can tell them apart. A day changes so
much that I need to quickly move the tasks around and re-prioritize. This
seems difficult to do with the task list. Drag and Drop on the calendar makes
it a breeze.
As well, placing the tasks in my calendar allows me to see exactly what I'm
to be doing by looking at the next calendar item on my phone. Task scan be
dragged from the task list to the calendar, but then they seem to be two
distinct items and aren't linked.
There could be an alternate way to prioritize tasks in the task list. I like
working from the most important and critical to the least and not by date. A
simple 1 through infinity would be good, 1 being the most important to do
right now. Tasks within the list could be drag and drop to make change the
priority easy.
