In older versions of PPT it was possible to copy a slide
from the slide sorter view and when you pasted it to
anoter slide it would remain small, and in high quality,
not as a .jpg or .gif.

You could change the size of it by draging a corner and
NOT have to worry about modifying the fonts and lines.

That functionality seems to have been left out of XP.
Hopefully it is only hidden somewhere.

Can anyone help me out -- I need to use that functionality
again.

Thanks,
JR

Hey, you're right. I never had the need to use that feature, so didn't even
know that it could be done. I guess that one way to do it would be to save
the slide as a JPG or PNG and then insert it on the other slide and size it
to meet your needs.
