OL 2010. Sometimes I would like to type a note to myself on an email
received right after the area of the message received. I would then print
out the email with my note typed on it.

Used to be able to do that with OL 2002.

Now, my email is through Gmail and somehow the technician set it up so that
it get the Gmail through Outlook. Maybe that is why I can't type notes on
the received email?

Thank you.

Don't have OL2010 so I'm guessing here. When you open the e-mail in its
own menu, there isn't an Edit -> Edit Message menu (or equivalent in the
ribbon bar)?

Google worked. Searched using:

http://www.google.com/search?q=+"outlook 2010" +"edit message"

First hit was:

Thank you for the help. The google link was particularly helpful. My old
version I just had to double click in the message field and I could start
typing. At least now I know and I make notes like I used to. Thank you Diane
and LH.
