I am using Access 2000

3 times now I have tried to create a new table from an
existing table using the Make Table Query. In the Query
design form, I pulled in the existing table, pulled down
just the fields I wanted, and picked Make Table Query. A
box came up asking me for the name of the new table. I
named the table, clicked on the box to put the table in
the existing database, but nothing appeared. I can't find
the table anywhere.

What am I doing wrong???

You have created a command for the table creation, not the table itself.
Try running the query, either by dblClicking it in the database window,
or pressing the Bang! button when the query is in design view.
