Make it easier to edit guest book entries in FrontPage

i have been trying for weeks to access guestlog.htm, and I just can't figure
out how.

Open the file like any other in Frontpage - open your site live, then open
guestbook.htm
or publish the file down to your hard drive, and open it locally.
 
Open your live (remote) website - File->Open Web/Site and choose or type in
the URL for your website in the format http://example.com - this is
exactly the same as the URL you publish to.
guestlog.htm should be found in the _private folder.
