Make appointments NOT show up on my calendar

how do i get outlook to remind me of a daily task (like filling out my
timecard) without junking up my calendar with all those notes to do it. i am
currently putting them in as recurring appts, but I really just want the
little pop-up reminders. I tried using "tasks" to do this, but if i don't
mark it as accepted for a few days, i get a bunch of them stacked up and it's
hard to tell what i've done and what i haven't.
 
That's sort of like asking how can i drive my car to Chicago without
sitting in the drivers seat and operating the controls. If you don't
want to use Outlooks features, use the Scheduled Tasks that comes with
Windows.

See if use a recurring task instead of an appointment will accomplish what you
want.
