make a shortcut to Google

Draggin the favicon in front of the Google address down to the quick
launch toolbar doesn't establish a shortcut, nor does saving the site
to the desktop. Is there something special Google requires to
establish a desktop/QLT shortcut to google.com? Thanks for the help.

Dragging the icon should work but you can create shortcut using the
shotrcut wizard :

Right click > New > Shortcut > Enter web site address > Next > Type Name >
Finish
