Windows XP will not startup at all. It freezes while booting. Even safe
mode won't work. It will attempt to boot then all of a sudden it reboots
itself.
Then on the other computer it just won't boot at all. The motherboard
justs beeps. I even tried to reinstall Windows from CD but it never gets
past the "Your computer will be more faster & reliable" part. Yeah
right!
I know it isn't any hardware since my Knoppix Linux CD boots just fine.
Could it be a virus?

Sounds more like a hardware fault than a XP error. Take off the cover and
check that all the connections are tight (ide cables, ram etc...). Also,
power the system down and unplug it. Find the bios reset jumper (should be
near the battery) and move it to the unused pin (I also remove the battery
and wait a few seconds then reinsert the battery). Then put it back and
reboot. If you get a BIOS checksum error enter the bios, select save & exit,
and see if the system will now fire up.

If the above doesn't work check the condition of the hard disk (if it's a
FAT32 drive then use a Win98/ME startup disk and run scandisk).
