I am trying to restore my desktop, it became blank a
couple days ago. All the icons have disapeared and
the taskbar is still viewable. Also i am trying to figure
out why my event viewer is displaying error reports of
failure/success audits of logging on and off every 20 seconds to 30 minutes
randomly, and failing as a result of bad password/account name for windows
startup.
This is strange becuase these reports happen
continously and i have not even tried to logon at
those reported times. To top it all off i have between
30-40 connections established at any time when i do
netstat in the command bar. I think that is to much
than it should when i have only one internet explorer
browser open? As for the desktop mishap its been like
that for three days now but my sister's desktop is
fine, icons and all that. I have never recognized the
random and spontanous log on attemtpts to either
users on this computer. And for the large amounts of
unknown open connections i have not been aware of
since yesterday when somone told me about the
"netstat" command.
