Hi. I was going to create a multiboot system but acciedentally installed
vista first. I shrank the partition and installed windows xp on the unused
space. After I went through the long and painful process of deleting the
partition. Now my system will not boot. It will do 1 of 3 things:

1. Will freeze at boot on first screen where you hit a button to enter
bios setup.
2. Will go to next screen and ask to boot from cd. I wait and it will
"reboot" the system, going back to first screen, every time.
3. Will go to "Boot from Cd" screen and after waiting say "Error loading
operating system.

Plese Help.

Kyle,

I just curious. How can you accidentally install an operating system, see as
how you have to interact about 12-15 times with the installer, including
typing in your name and product key.

As far as your problem goes, if the computer freezes at the boot screen, it
has nothing to do with any operating system installed on your computer. You
can enter the bios with NO operating system installed on the computer. In
fact, you don't even need a hard drive in the computer to enter the bios.

You have hardware problems. Disconnect everything, except monitor, keyboard,
mouse hard drive. Every other plug in card comes out. All wires get
unplugged, except for the above mentioned devices and the power. Now try to
enter the bios.

Let us know how it goes.
