Hello all,
Wanted to run some maintenance on our AD, can anyone direct me docs on this
issue or recommend any methods?
TIA,
Gary

Robbie, is FRS covered in detail in your new book? I'm trying to set-up FRS
for file sahres between only 2 AD 2003 servers.

Well you can find inactive accounts with the dsquery command. Notably
"dsquery user -inactive <Weeks>" and "dsquery computer -inactive <Weeks>".
You can also do this programmatically and I can provide the code if you need
it.

You can reclaim whitespace in the DIT but it requires booting into DS
Restore Mode and performing a few commands. I would only recommend this if
your ntds.dit is fragmented and you need to reclaim some space on your disk.
More info is available here:

Let me know if you have any questions.
