Thank you for responding Russ,
I have followed all of the details in your description and the aticle
description for installing the 'Outlook Address Book Service'. I have
been
an
A+ Tech since 1999 and the removal and reinitalization of Outlook has
been
one of the harder ones to correct. I've done the Detect & Repair, the
Box
is
checked, but I cannot add, an older PST due to a previous corruption
factor.
I went to find my copy of Scanpst.exe, couldn't find it, went to the
website,
and couldn't find it in Downloads either ? Lot's of articles about it,
just
no links for the file its self ? I have about 10 different email
addresses
that I use actively due to the types of businesses that I own or
manage.
If
I totally delete the profile, I can repoint Outlook to use that Data
file
when it opens the 1st time. I "Have Never" been able to remove, then
Add
back, a PST without the hardcore process, unless I give it a bogus one
to
attach to, which requires that I set up one email account, to be able
to
redirect it back to the one that has everything stored in it. So, as of
this
time, I still have no fax #'s, email addresses or the actual physical
addresses ( keyword ) inside at the vcf level ? All of the info shows
up
in
the outside display, but not when you dbl click on the individual file
? I
can show you via screen print if you like ?
:
It is not unusual for the Outlook Address Book to “lose track†of the
connection to its Contacts Folder when you move or import your PST or
update
your Outlook version or operating system. Use the following steps to
reset
the connection. Note that in some instances you may actually have to
remove
the Outlook Address Book completely from your Profile, close Outlook,
and
then re-add it before you can get it to work.
Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book.
Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address
Book.
Is
the box to enable as email address book checked?
If this is grayed out...Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or
change
existing directories or address book. Is the Outlook Address Book
present?
If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is
listed,
then remove it and close then restart Outlook and repeat these steps
to
add
it.

[MVP-Outlook]
Main panel of Outlook 2003 shows address info, once clicked, nothing
shows
in
the Address Card ? Used to be there, but I run Automatic updates so
I
do
not
always see what has been installed ? My Address Book is checked to
show
as
an
Email Address Book with in properties. Also, when I select the To:
link,
I
show names, but no email addresses, all used to work as well. I am
running
RegCure by MS recommendation and Norton 360 v.2.5.0.5 by stupidity.
