I'm trying to complete an Access 2000 database for an organization, and
I don't want those members to get into the real Access. Designed a
Switchboard and dragged it onto the Desktop. Works, but in addition to
displaying the main menu properly, it also shows the MS Access window
with toolbars and the Database window with Queries, Forms, etc., behind
it. How can I suppress those windows to avoid someone fumbling into
them? Thank you for your advice! Jan

Janet,
Tools + StartUp
Uncheck the box that says 'Display Database Window'
While there set the Switchboard to appear when the database is opened by
selecting that form in the 'Display Form/Page' box.

To get the application to show (if you need to get to it later), hold
down the Shift key when opening the database.
Or.. open the database and press F11.

Thank you, Fred. That cleared out a lot of the background. And thanks
also, Jim & Chris. I've made at least three backups today. This
project looks nearly ready to hand over! Jan
