Main Form does not appear, only Subform

This is the most bizarre thing I have enver seen with access. I have
a main form with a control Tab and 2 tabs that contain sub forms.
Everything was working fine and then for some unknown reason when I
open the form, the main form does not display, not the control tab,
just the first sub form.

Anyone have any suggestions? I really do not want to rebuild all this
if there is a simple fix.

Thanks

That's very weird. Do you have any code in the Open or Load events of the
form or subform(s)? I can imagine a code loop preventing Access from
processing some events.

Yes, I do have load events. I actually tried to recreate the tab
control on a copy of the form and then I got it so click tab 1 of 2
works fine but clicking the second tab on the control causes the form
to display ONLY the subform, no command buttons from the main form, no
fields or anything. Wondering if the DB is corrupt or if I should
start again from the start.

Based on your response Dirk I am going to assume this is not something
that has a straightforward answer so I better rebuild.

Would you be interested in having me look at it? If you'd like to send me a
cut-down copy of your database, containing only the elements necessary to
demonstrate the problem, compacted and then zipped to less than 1MB in size
(preferably much smaller) -- I'll have a look at it, time permitting. You
can send it to the address derived by removing NO SPAM and ".invalid" from
the reply address of this message. If that address isn't visible to you,
you can get my address from my web site, which is listed in my sig. Do
*not* post my real address in the newsgroup -- I don't want to be buried in
spam and viruses.
