Hi all,

I use mailwasher and pretty much like it. The only niggle I have with it
is that it correctly marks all junk mail for deletion, which is fine but
also for bouncing - which I don't want to do.

I have to go through many spam mails unchecking the bounce box, is there
a way around this?

Regards

Hi Brian,

Go to tools, Accounts, highlight each account then select properties,
select the Bouncing & Outgoing Mail tab and uncheck the Enable bouncing
of messages from this account then click OK and then close the accounts
dialog box.

Hi Gerald,

I've an old version (1.33) and the Bouncing & Outgoing Mail Tab doesn't
exist. Perhaps I should upgrade?

If you go to Tools>Filters you will bw able to highlight a filter, click on
"modify", then uncheck "mark for bounce"

Also in "blacklist" "options" uncheck "mark blacklisted for bouncing"

I've tried exterminater and lots of others, IMO m/w is streets ahead on
ease of use, and excellent filtering options, I don't think there's another
that makes setting rules so easy

BrianE,
In Mailwasher, right click 'Bounce' column header and select 'Unmark all
emails marked for bouncing', makes it an easy 2 click job.

I wouldn't. I use 1.33 and it works well and has multiple accounts.

Unless I've missed something, the free modern version does not support
multiple accounts, while Gerald's obviously does.

Still, it's your choice

I'm sure you're right Mike. That's why I've not upgraded before. I'm
sure I read somewhere that the older version was the best.

Cheers

BrianE, I'm an ex-version 1.33 user, now on version 2.0.19, which
supports multiple accounts and is an improvement over 1.33
Cheers

Thank you Gerald! This was the ONLY problem I find with MailWasher. I
had downloaded other programs but they don't auto dial. I've used
mailwasher for quite some time and now thanks to you, a lot longer.
